Look up a code or scan report

Enter a DTC code or upload a full scan report — no account needed to start.

Install on Android

Works in Chrome, Edge, or Samsung Internet.

  1. 1Open DTCDecoder in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the menu (⋮) in the top right.
  3. 3Tap "Install app" (or "Add to Home screen").
  4. 4Tap "Install" to confirm.

Install on iPhone

Must use Safari — Chrome, Firefox, and other browsers on iPhone can't install apps, due to Apple's restrictions.

  1. 1Open DTCDecoder in Safari.
  2. 2Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  4. 4Tap "Add" in the top right to confirm.

Install on Desktop

Works in Chrome, Edge, or other Chromium-based browsers.

  1. 1Open DTCDecoder in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2Click the install icon in the address bar (or open the browser menu).
  3. 3Click "Install" to confirm.

Common questions

Why don't I see an install option?

Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome/Edge on Android or desktop, Safari on iPhone) and that you've visited the site before. Some browsers only offer the option after a short delay.

Does installing cost anything extra?

No. It's the same DTCDecoder account and plan you already have — installing just adds a home-screen shortcut.

Will I get updates automatically?

Yes. The installed app updates the same way the website does — there's nothing to manually download or update.
